Accessibility Statement
A site that welcomes everyone.
The King's Academy Dallas is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities.
Our commitment
We work to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks throughout the site
- Single H1 per page with logical heading hierarchy
- Color contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Keyboard navigation for all interactions, including the mobile menu and accordions
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- Form fields with visible labels (never placeholder-only)
- Captions and transcripts on video and audio media when added
Ongoing assessment
We test the site using automated tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard-only and screen reader testing on key pages. Any critical or serious issues are remediated before launch and during routine audits.
